Jesus directs prayer to the Father who sees in secret and knows people’s needs before they ask, teaches petitions concerning his will and provision, and says the heavenly Father knows the needs of those he cares for. These instructions direct trust and requests toward the Father himself. They do not promise that every request will be granted as asked or infer a human body from seeing.
