Creation and believers groan while awaiting redemption. Paul then assigns weakness and not knowing how to pray to us, while the Spirit helps and intercedes for the saints with unutterable groanings according to God. God knows the Spirit’s mind. The intercession and distinction are retained; the Spirit is not here said to seek correction, forgiveness or help for his own deficiency.
